#3: “Like” own status update
– Why? Because of desire to boost number of “Likes”? By 1?
#2: Write a “Dear X…” message where X is company to be complained to or person to be paid tribute to
– Funny thing is, X is usually not on Facebook friends list. Who is the message really for?
#1: Writing to other half how much you love them
– Even though you live together.
Who can tell me why?
The first one has some logic to it. fb logic – when you like something, it gets bumped back up to the top of the newsfeed regardless how stale the posting is. So if u like it, u bump it up and can possibly get more viewers than when you first posted it.
Now that makes sense.
#3 really want more people to see your post
#2 To express frustrations (but got no guts to say it directly) or simply nothing better to do (being emo or poetic)
#1 When someone over-emphasize on something, there’s probably something else going on that should best stay hidden. (for example, if someone keeps saying that he is hardworking, do you seriously believe that he is truly hardworking?)
hmm… something else going on…
#3 – from a compulsive need to let people know about my love for other half. same feeling as getting married in front of people vs. no people. that’s it for me.
i actually have no issues with posts addressed to friends (or the rest of the world) that exhibit your love of your spouse since that’s the media through which such messages can be delivered to the target audience. but what i don’t get is messages addressed to a spouse who lives with them. my logic is, just tell them in person or send a private message. otherwise, address it to everyone.
okay – you have to give me an example if we decide to pursue this conversation because i suddenly realisei don’t have a concrete idea of what you’re talking about! lol maybe i just don’t have people who do that on my feed.
