Kumamoto Disastrous Earthquake

Kumamoto just experienced a magnitude 6.4 earthquake with maximum seismic intensity of 7. The intensity is the worst in the intensity scale. Strong aftershocks are recurring. Buildings are reported to have collapsed and gas leaks are happening. No news of nuclear plant shutdown has been received and reports of casualties have yet been confirmed. The positive news is that no tsunami is observed.

If you have friends or family around that area, do check for their safety.

Update: Kagoshima and Saga nuclear plants are confirmed to be still running and not facing any failures. 10 dead, over 700 injured. NTT docomo, KDDI, and Softbank have set up emergency bulletin boards to report your safety. Certain areas using KDDI network may experience difficulty connecting. All ANA and JAL flights to and from Kumamoto ended before the earthquake occurred, so no flights were affected.
