The Japanese have a very unfathomable practice in business emails. Apart from the usual opening greeting of “お世話になっております” many businesses tend to follow up with, “株式会社XXのYYです” and that happens in every single email exchange including replies.
I mean, I just replied to you, and I can see your name in the email.
Why would I forget who you are?
Why the need to constantly repeat your name?
