Join a Discover Japan Cherry Blossoms Tours for a unique, immersive journey to the top destinations in Japan featuring Mount Yoshino during the lovely cherry blossom season.

Our Discover Japan Cherry Blossoms Group Tour is an 11-day journey through Japan's top destinations - Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka, with the addition of the Snow Monkeys of Yudanaka and a hike on the enchanting Nakasendo Road in the Kiso Valley. This special cherry blossoms itinerary features specially picked locations for viewing the gorgeous pink flowers, including a day at Mount Yoshino, which contains a breathtaking forest of cherry blossom trees, along with a picturesque mountain temple and shrine, creating unforgettable springtime scenes during your group tour of Japan.

The tour begins in Tokyo with a visit to some of the biggest must-sees of Japan's capital: Tsukiji Outer Market, the Imperial Palace, Shibuya Crossing, Asakusa Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street. The highlight is a visit to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, where you can see breathtaking groves of pastel-pink cherry blossoms, and over a dozen different varieties. While in Tokyo, we also include a half-day of free time to enjoy on your own. From there, we continue to Mount Fuji, to Arakurayama Sengen Park. The hill behind Chureito Pagoda offers one of the very best cherry blossom views in Japan. We stop to take in lakeside scenes at Lake Kawaguchi and admire the silk- dyed artworks of the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum before we travel to Matsumoto - our gateway to Yudanaka and the Kiso Valley. In Yudanaka, we spend some time with the delightfully adorable Snow Monkeys, and stop in Obuse to study the works of Edo period artist Hokusai. We then take a day in the Kiso Valley to walk the Old Nakasendo Road between Magome and Tsumago, enjoying the time- honored towns and delightful mountain countryside, splashed here and there with lovely cherry blossoms. Please check our itinerary to see our options for enjoying the Nakasendo. The tour continues to Kyoto, where we tour some of its most famous locations - Kiyomizu Temple, the Golden Pavilion, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Arashiyama. While there, you can experience trying on an authentic kimono, partaking in a green tea ceremony, and enjoying a dinner hosted by a geisha. After Kyoto, visit one of the tour's chief destinations: Mount Yoshino, which is one of the most breathtaking and beautiful cherry blossom locations in Japan. Mount Yoshino is covered in a forest of cherry blossom trees, so the vision of Mount Yoshino when viewed from Kinpusenji Temple and Yoshimizu Shrine appears like a dreamy sea of pink clouds floating over the mountain. We stop in Katsuragi for a Sumo Experience and in Nara to visit the wild deer at Todaiji Temple before arriving in Osaka. While there, we see the cherry blossoms at Osaka Castle, wander the fantastic displays at teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka, and enjoy a Street Food Tour of Dotonbori.

The transportation for our Discover Japan Cherry Blossom tours is mostly facilitated by our sleek and comfortable private coach buses, with some public transportation and bullet train travel. Deluxe accommodations are included as listed on the itinerary, and all our tours are fully guided by our friendly, professional English-speaking tour guides.
