Take a 5-day trip Beyond Tokyo for some of Japan's most enchanting flower scenes - featuring the flower festivals of baby blue eyes, wisteria, and shibazakura!

All Japan Tours brings you outside the big city of Tokyo for an enchanting 5-day itinerary strewn with flowers in this Beyond Tokyo Deluxe Group Tour. Our nature-loving guests are sure to enjoy this tour into the countryside around Tokyo, which features the most delightful flower parks and festivals in Japan, with planned stops in Hitachinaka, Mito, Ashikaga, Karuizawa, Matsumoto, and the Mount Fuji region.

The spring season is known mostly for cherry blossoms, but late spring and summer are the times for some of Japan's most enchanting nature and flower scenes. Our tour takes you admire three of Japan's prettiest flowers. First, at Hitachi Seaside Park, you will behold millions of Nemophila or "baby blue eyes", covering the grassy hills. Before we move in, take a walk through Kairakuen Garden - one of Japan's Three Great Gardens. Then, in Ashikaga, the Ashikaga Flower Park comes alive in late spring, where visitors walk beneath trellises hung with countless wisteria flowers blooming in bright purple, red, yellow, and white. Other flowers, such as azaleas, tastefully complement the wisteria display.

Traveling towards Mount Fuji, the tour takes a half-day to enjoy the highly fashionable resort town of Karuizawa, with sightseeing excursions to the Uchimura Kanzo Memorial Stone Church and Karuizawa Shiraito Falls, and a stop in Matsumoto to view magnificent Matsumoto "Black Crow" Castle. At last, we reach the Fuji Five Lakes area in time to experience the multicolored carpet of flowers at the Fuji Shibazakura Festival. Shibazakura, better known as "phlox moss", is a tiny flower with little petals that open in early May, making a flower quilt of pink, magenta, white, and purple.

Be sure to check out our tour during one of Japan's prettiest seasons during our Beyond Tokyo: Baby Blue Eyes, Wisteria, and Shibazakura Tour. Please browse our itinerary below for more information.
