Single Room
Single room types are rooms for
single room occupants.
One person will be occupying the
hotel room throughout the tour.
Twin Room
Twin room types are rooms set for two people who will occupy one room, but will have two separate beds.
Double Room
A double room is a room that has one bed for two people to share.
Triple Room
A triple room is one room where three people may share the same room. It has three separate beds.
Japanese Style Room
A Japanese-style room traditionally does not have a western-style bed, it is a tatami floor room with futon bedding. However, if you prefer a western-style bed, you may request one though we cannot guarantee it.
Please note: If you would like to request neighboring rooms next to your traveling companions, you and your traveling companions must have the same room types in order to be next to each other. For example, if you have requested a double room, but your traveling companions have requested a twin, or triple room, then neighboring rooms cannot be accommodated. However, if both you and your traveling companions match in room type, then neighboring rooms will likely be arranged for your convenience.
Japan is one of the best countries in the world for
relaxation and wellness. The Land of the Rising Sun is
well known for tranquil scenes, relaxation destinations
such as hot springs, and restorative "power spots" at
temples and shrines. Start things off with a tour of Tokyo
that includes Hamarikyu Garden and Asakusa Sensoji
Temple. Then visit nearby Mount Takao to enjoy an
invigorating hike followed by a refreshing dip in a hot
spring bath. The tour continues to Kyoto, the former
imperial capital and center of traditional Japanese
culture for over a thousand years, where you will learn
Zen meditation, partake in a Green Tea Ceremony,
study cultural arts like origami and calligraphy, and visit
a few of Kyoto's significant temples and shrines. Then
you will spend two days on Mount Koya experience the
life of a Buddhist monk, including copying sutras, eating
healthy vegetarian "shojin ryori" cuisine, and stroll the
nearby forest on a special Forest Therapy Tour. This
tour makes use of Japan's smooth and efficient public
transit, including a ride on a high-speed "bullet train"

Upon arrival, proceed through customs and meet your driver just outside the exit gate, they will be holding an “All Japan Tours” sign for easy visibility. Proceed to your hotel by private car. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be free for leisure.

The day begins with a tour of the Tsukiji Outer Market, filled with shops and restaurants where you can try fresh seafood and shop for food-related goods. Next, visit the beautiful landscape garden of Hamarikyu which features seawater ponds that change level with the tides, then board a Sumida River Cruise and enjoy views of the city’s skyline and bridges. Next, travel to Asakusa Sensoji Temple. Enter by way of the Kaminarimon “Thunder Gate”, underneath one of Japan’s largest paper lanterns. Don’t forget to look up to see the dragon sculpture under the lantern! Walk through the Nakamise Market – a street lined with shops selling traditional goods of all kinds, before approaching Sensoji Temple. Take some time to explore Tokyo’s oldest temple and shrine complex. Finally, take part in a Ninja and Samurai lesson, where you'll learn the history and habits of Japan's most fearsome Edo-era warriors.

Today, you'll travel by public transit to Mount Takao, where the day's adventures begin with a visit to Yakuoin Temple, a peaceful Buddhist Shugendo temple - a place to focus and clear the mind. Next is a light invigorating hike along the well-maintained trails to the top of Mount Takao. where you can see statues to the tengu - the protective deities of the mountain along the tree-lined trail. After, you'll reach the Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu, a hot spring bathhouse, where you can enjoy a nice, relaxing soak in one of the gender- segregated baths before returning to Tokyo.

Today, take a trip via public transport to the gorgeous natural beauty of Hakone, where you can see inspiring views of Mount Fuji, a sight every traveler to Japan should see! While in Hakone, you can take a cruise of lovely Lake Ashi - the ideal way to enjoy Hakone's splendid scenery. Then board an airborne gondola on the Hakone Ropeway, which offers unparalleled views of the surrounding area. At last you'll arrive at Owakudani, an active volcanic region dotted with hot rivers and boiling pools, and lightly clouded in whisps smoke and sulphureous fumes.

Enjoy the smooth ride, and on arrival at Kyoto station, make your own way to your nearby hotel on foot. In the afternoon, enjoy some free leisure time soaking up the local atmosphere and time-honored culture of the former imperial capital. Then return to the hotel for a restful evening.

Today, start off your day in Kyoto with a visit to Nishiki Market. This narrow shopping street, commonly referred to as 'Kyoto's Kitchen,' is filled with more than 100 restaurants and shops showcasing Kyoto specialties such as Japanese sweets, pickles, dried seafood, and sushi. The shops sell all kinds of food-related items – from top-of-the-line knives and cookware to tempting seafood and produce. Next, partake in a Japanese Cooking Class and learn to cook like a local with simple, fun lesson. Then visit a traditional wooden townhouse where you will learn some of Japanese classical arts: Origami, Calligraphy, and Ikebana (flower arranging). After, return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Continue to explore Kyoto, traveling to Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site from Japan’s feudal era, and palatial former residence of the Tokugawa shogun. The opulent buildings and elegant interior are well preserved – the foremost example of Edo-era castle architecture. Next, behold the gorgeous Golden Pavilion, covered in bright gold leaf shimmering in the sun, crowned with a dainty golden phoenix on top. The tour proceeds to Arashiyama, to see the classical beauty of Tenryuji Temple and it's landscape garden, then take a stroll between towering stalks of bamboo at the Arashiyama bamboo grove. After, return to the hotel for a restful evening.

Today in Kyoto begins with a visit to gorgeous Kiyomizu Temple, famed for it's dramatic elevated wooden stage that overlooks a forest of maple and cherry trees. Leading up to the temple are Ninen-zaka and Sannen- zaka, these streets are filled with preserved buildings that Japan’s past. Many of the buildings are selling souvenirs and Kyoto-specific wares. Then, we will travel to Kodaiji Temple, which is a lavish temple built in the memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. While here, take a lesson in Zen Meditation, then participate in the time- honored Green Tea Ceremony. The tour continues to Yasaka Shrine, one of the city's best known and most popular landmarks, especially the two-story vermilion entrance gate at the end of Shijo-dori Avenue. We will end our day in the Gion Geisha District, where its streets are lined with ochaya (teahouses), exclusive establishments where guests are entertained by Geisha and Maiko.

After breakfast, we travel to the sacred temple grounds of Koyasan. The temple is sacred to Shingon Buddhism, the resting place of Kobo Daishi, who is said to be in eternal meditation in the large graveyard of Okunoin. First, experience copying a sutra (the sacred texts of Buddhism). You will stay the night at a temple in Koyasan, and enjoy a vegetarian-friendly dinner of Shojin Ryori, which is healthy monk's cuisine. After dinner, take a nighttime stroll through the graveyard of Okunoin.

In the morning, participate in the morning prayers and breakfast at the temple. After is the Forest Therapy Tour, which takes you out into the forest near the temple for wellness and restoration as you experience this UNESCO Heritage forest with your senses. After, return to the temple for a last relaxing evening in Koyasan.
Sekishoin or similar class
Today, participate in morning prayers with the monks and have breakfast at the temple. Next, we will travel to Okunoin Temple which is regarded as having the most sacred and largest cemetery of Japan. Afterwards, tour the Kongobuji Temple constructed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi to commemorate his mother after death. The Banryutei Rock Garden behind Kongobuji Temple is a large Zen garden beautifully composed to represent dragons emerging from clouds in the sky. Then we will visit the Danjo Garan, a sacred location for the Shingon Buddhist monks to train and chant. Danjo Garan is one of the two most sacred sites on Mt Koya. In the 9th century, Mt Koya’s temple complex was founded on this very ground. At that time, Kobo Daishi held a groundbreaking ceremony and then dedicated his life to the construction of Danjo Garan.
