Single Room
Single room types are rooms for
single room occupants.
One person will be occupying the
hotel room throughout the tour.
Twin Room
Twin room types are rooms set for two people who will occupy one room, but will have two separate beds.
Double Room
A double room is a room that has one bed for two people to share.
Triple Room
A triple room is one room where three people may share the same room. It has three separate beds.
Japanese Style Room
A Japanese-style room traditionally does not have a western-style bed, it is a tatami floor room with futon bedding. However, if you prefer a western-style bed, you may request one though we cannot guarantee it.
Please note: If you would like to request neighboring rooms next to your traveling companions, you and your traveling companions must have the same room types in order to be next to each other. For example, if you have requested a double room, but your traveling companions have requested a twin, or triple room, then neighboring rooms cannot be accommodated. However, if both you and your traveling companions match in room type, then neighboring rooms will likely be arranged for your convenience.
Hokkaido is Japan's northernmost island and is
home to several National Parks, unique wildlife,
and an abundance of beauitful scenery. With
dreamy cherry blossoms blooming in spring
and an abundance of wildlife, Hokkaido is a
must-see for any nature enthusiast.
Learn about the indigenious people of
Hokkaido and their unique culture at the
Nibutani Ainu Culture Museum. You will then
travel to Noboribetsu, where we will visit
Jigokudani to see the bathing monkeys in the
hot springs. During our spring itinerary, pay a
visit to Hakodate to visit one of the most
popular cherry blossom viewing sites. From
Hakodate, travel to Matsumae, home to 250
different species of cherry trees, which allow
guests to see cherry blossoms here from late
April to late May. You can also enjoy the cherry
blossom festival in Matsumae, where vendors
sell crafts and fresh food. Once in Shikabecho,
guests will enjoy a home-cooking class,
learning to make Japanese food before
traveling to Niseko to try their hand at glass
etching.
Travel to Otaru, where you will have the chance
to walk along the canal, which is lined with
several small shops, restaurants, and
museums. Guests will make their way to the
city's center, Sakaimachi Street, where you can
find several museums, including Kitaichi
Garasukan and the Otaru Music Box Museum.
In Furano, a small farming town, enjoy a tour of
the Furano Cheese Factory and Winery. Your
tour will end in Sapporo, where you will visit
Nijo Market to buy some of the freshest
seafood in Japan. Before heading to the hotel
for the last night, stop at Shiroi Koibito Park, a
theme park by a local chocolate company
which consists of restaurants and several
souvenir shops.

We begin our tour in Biratori, where we will visit the Nibutani Ainu Culture Museum, dedicated to the indigenious people of Hokkaido. Learn more about the Ainu's way of life and their unique culture before heading to Noboribetsu, where we will visit Jigokudani. It is here where we will visit the popular Jigokudani Monkey Park, where Japanese Macaques bathe in the natural hot springs. We will then enjoy a ride on the Usuzan Ropeway, which brings us up close to Mount Usu's summit. This volcano has erupted four times in the past 100 years with the most recent eruption being in the year 2000. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner at our Japanese-style inn. Afterwards, you can soak in the natural hot spring baths that the hotel offers.
Toya Sun Palace or similar class
Today we explore Hakodate, starting with a trip to the Trappistine Convent. As the first convent in Japan, this convent is steeped in history and Catholic culture. We will then move on to Fort Goryokaku, which was constructed near the end of the Edo Period to protect Hakodate from imperialist threats. It is also a famous spot to see the cherry blossoms. Next, we will visit the Red Brick Warehouses, a shopping complex located at Hakodate Port before moving on to Motomachi. This nearby area at the foot of Mt. Hakodate served as a residential area for foreign traders, with many of the foreign buildings still standing today. To end our day, we will take a ride on the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway, taking in the sight of the city.

We will enjoy the spring season and weather today, as we visit Matsumae to see its castle and the cherry blossoms decorating the nearby park. We will make our first stop at Matsumae Castle, the only Japanese Edo-style castle in Hokkaido. Nearby, you will find Matsumae Park, where over ten thousand cherry trees can be found. With over 250 varieties of cherry blossoms, the parkis one of the most beautiful viewing spots in Japan. Enjoy the food stalls and festival, which is held throughout late April to late May. Afterwards, we will head over to the nearby Matsumaehan Yashiki, a small theme park that recreates Matsumae Town during the Edo Period. Visitors are also welcome to rent a costume here to fully immerse themselves in the history. In the evning, we will travel to Hakodate to enjoy dinner at our Japanese-style inn.

After breakfast, we will visit the Hakodate Morning Market, where guests can purchase seafood meals and fresh produce. Try the popular fresh melon or if you're feeling adventurous, try some uni (sea urchin) bowls. We will then participate in a home cooking class, where we will learn to make Japanese food. Afterwards, we will head to Onuma Park, designated as a quasi national park. We will relax and view the stunning lakes and a picturesque volcano, Mt. Komagatake. To end our day, we will travel to a place known for its crafts and glass etching, Niseko. We will have the opportunity to learn the process of etching glass and even try our hands at it. After, we will check in to our hotel in Niseko, where we will enjoy dinner.

Our day begins by visiting Otaru Canal, once an important part of the city's port where goods were loaded into the warehouses lining the canal. Today, the canal contains several small shops, restaurants, and museums. We will then make our way to the city's center, Sakaimachi Street, where we can find several museums, including Kitaichi Garasukan and the Otaru Music Box Museum. We will first visit Kitaichi Garasukan, a shop famous for its glasswork, before making our way to Otaru Music Box Museum, where we can find unique music boxes, ornaments, and more. After exploring the small city, we will head to Asahikawa, where we will visit Otokoyama Sake Brewery. Enjoy a tour of the brewery and taste the sake made with water from local springs.

In the morning, we travel to Biei, where we will stop to see the bright Blue Pond before driving on to Furano. We will first visit the Cheese Factory where Furano's dairy industry thrives. We can watch the cheese-making process and purchase unqiue flavors of creamy ice cream. We will then head to a place that pairs well with cheese, the Furano Winery. Enjoy a sampling of the wine and the views from atop the hill. in the afternoon, travel to Sapporo and visit the clock tower, a symbol of Sapporo. Near the clock tower, we will find Odori Park, a pleasant park with cherry blossom trees. Before heading back to our hotel, we will visit Susukino, an entertainment district in Sapporo, where guests can find restaurants, bars, karaoke rooms, and more.

We will start our day by visiting Nijo Market in Sapporo, where guests can buy the freshest seafood and fruits in Japan. Afterwards, we will visit the Okurayama Ski Jump, which was used during the Winter Olympics of 1972. Enjoy the view of the city from the top or explore the nearby Sapporo Winter Sports Museum. We then make our way to the Sapporo Beer Museum, one of the oldest and most popular beer brands in the country since 1877. Enjoy the exhibits of the museum and a sampling of the fresh brewed beer. We will head to Sapporo's Historic Village, an open-air museum exhibiting Hokkaido's development during the Meiji Era, which includes a town, fishing village, farm village and a mountain village. After, we will stop at Shiroi Koibito Park, a theme park by a local chocolate company which consists of restaurants and several souvenir shops.

After breakfast, our tour officially ends! The rest of your day is free for leisure until your transfer to New Chitose Airport for your flight.
