Honeymoon in Japan

Honeymoon in Japan

Japan possesses a wealth of locations that breathe through an atmosphere of romantic charm. It is no wonder this country is such a popular destination for newlywed couples looking to make honeymoon memories that last a lifetime.

If you and your loved one are just about ready to tie the knot, and are looking for that romantic spot to celebrate your nuptial bliss, look no further than Japan! Let us plan a private journey that will take you and your spouse to the most dream-like, memorable, and relaxing destinations the Land of the Rising Sun can offer!

Tokyo is one of the most vibrant and magnificent metropolises in the world, with luxurious five-star accommodations and three-star Michelin dining. There are experiences here to please every interest, from the quirky and light-hearted to romantic and thought-provoking. But whether you’re laughing over a delicious bite in the Shinjuku “Robot Restaurant”, or strolling hand-in-hand through the peaceful gardens of the Imperial Palace, the capital city of Tokyo is offers the chance to make a broad variety of happy memories.

One of Japan’s most charming locations is Miyajima Island, the home of picturesque Itsukushima Shrine. A shrine built to extend out over a small cove - the main feature of Itsukushima is the large red torii gate rising up from the sea just off the coastline. At high tide, the view becomes the most dramatic as the gate seems to float gently atop the water. Couples can also ascend Miyajima’s sacred mountain – Mount Misen, for a stellar view of the surrounding coastline. The climb is possible either by ropeway or on foot.

The old imperial capital of Kyoto also offers wonderful honeymoon opportunities for those couples with an interest in traditional Japanese culture. On one of our private journeys, couples can experience an old-fashioned wedding ceremony at a local shrine. This ceremony comes complete with classical wedding kimono for the bride and groom, and includes photography to commemorate the event. While in Kyoto, take the opportunity to learn some of Japan’s traditional arts, such as calligraphy, flower-arrangement, and origami, that may bloom into a shared hobby for you and your loved one.
